Aadhaar Authentication Now Mandatory For Railway Bookings

Important Update

As per the latest government directive, all railway booking agents must complete Aadhaar authentication by 1 July 2025. Please complete the process well in advance to avoid service disruptions.

Additionally, effective 15 July 2025, OTP verification through Aadhaar will be compulsory for all online Tatkal bookings.

Steps to Complete Aadhaar Authentication:

1. Log in to the IRCTC Agent Interface using your WRLTC ID and IRCTC password
2. Go to ‘Update Profile of SubAgent’
3. Select ‘Aadhaar Based KYC’
4. Enter your Aadhaar number and click ‘Generate OTP’
5. Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number
6. Once verified, your ID will be Aadhaar-authenticated and enabled for Tatkal bookings
